Indoor Sub Committee

Indoor Committee Terms of Reference

The Cairns Hockey Association Indoor Competitions Advisory Committee (the Indoor Committee) provides advice and recommendations to Cairns Hockey through the Competitions Committee on the following-
(i) Formats and timing of the Indoor Competitions and Programs
(ii) Specific modifications to program guidelines/ rules and practices
(iii) Participation in strategic discussions relating to Cairns Hockey Development
(iv) Implementation and Delivery of the Indoor Competition and Program
(v) Guidelines and Rules relating to the Indoor Competition and Programs
(vi) Coordinate Indoor Representative Programs with the support of CHA staff
(vii) Seeking feedback through surveys and any other relevant matters

Junior Sub Committee – Chair – Karen Fry

Junior Committee Terms of Reference
The Cairns Hockey Association Junior Programs Advisory Committee (the Junior Committee) provides advice and recommendations to Cairns Hockey through the Competitions Committee on the following-
(i) Formats and timing of the Junior Programs P Division
(ii) Specific modifications to program guidelines/ rules and practices
(iii) Participation in strategic discussions relating to cairns Hockey Junior Programs
(iv) Implementation of the local junior programs
(v) Guidelines relating to Junior Club Duties
(vi) Seeking feedback through surveys and any other relevant matters

Cairns Hockey Board as part of the 2018 Review is working through options to assist and support our Talent Pathways Program.

There is always a challenge to balance

• Extensive Representative Program delivered by Cairns Hockey which is expanding with the inclusion of Indoor Under Age Representative Programs.
• Local Academy Talent Pathways Program
• State Pathways Programs
• National Pathways Programs

Currently the Board is considering these matters and more information will be uploaded and shared upon Board approval.

CAIRNS HOCKEY FINANCE AND AUDIT COMMITTEE update

• Director of Finance will be the chair of this sub committee
• 2 members will be appointed by the Board after nominations are called for with supporting CV.
• this committee assists the Board with budgets and financial performance.
• assist in the preparation of Annual reports as part of the auditing of the financial reports
• provides oversight across the financial practices
• makes recommendations to the Board
